Shanna Thomsen, Psy.D.
Dr. Thomsen is a licensed clinical psychologist with professional experience that has included a variety of settings, including community mental health centers, schools, mental health drop-in centers, and a residential and group home treatment center for sexually harmful and reactive youth. Dr. Thomsen aims to create a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all ages, from various backgrounds, and with diverse mental health and behavioral needs. In addition to therapy, Dr. Thomsen completes comprehensive psychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. She has a passion for helping individuals gain clarity about themselves, especially when other services may not have been helpful in the past.

Alexandria Ventress-Taylor, Psy.D.
Dr. Ventress-Taylor is a licensed clinical psychologist with professional experience that has included both therapy and psychological evaluations in a variety of settings, such as a residential substance use treatment center, university clinics, community mental health centers, and an inpatient state hospital. Dr. Ventress-Taylor has a passion for psychological evaluations, particularly in helping adolescents and adults gain clarity around their mental health concerns and connect with the resources they need to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Her professional values are rooted in increasing accessibility to mental health care and ensuring cultural competence is thoughtfully integrated into the assessment process.

Katie Lange, M.S.
Katie Lange, M.S., is a fifth-year doctoral student in a Psy.D. program in Clinical Psychology, working toward licensure as a psychologist. Katie works with adolescents and adults and is committed to fostering a warm, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and work toward their individualized goals. Katie is dedicated to providing affirming, culturally responsive care to individuals from diverse backgrounds, with a particular interest in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community. She strives to honor each client’s unique identity, experiences, and strengths while creating a space where clients feel valued, respected, and understood.
Katie is under the clinical supervision of Dr. Thomsen.
Doctoral Student Therapist
April Moua, M.A.
April Moua, MA, is a third-year doctoral student at the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology pursuing a PsyD in Clinical Psychology. She has been working as a licensed psychotherapist since 2021 after receiving her master’s in counseling psychology. April works with children, adolescents, and adults. She encompasses a kind and empathetic personality that is perceived warmly from others. Some areas of focus and experience include anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, life transitions, stress, identity, family concerns, and trauma-focused care. April utilizes a strengths-based, person-centered approach that is tailored to individual’s unique needs and goals. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process in which she works alongside each patient to better understand their experiences, identify their strengths, and develop meaningful strategies for navigating life’s challenges.
April is under the clinical supervision of Dr. Thomsen.

Reagan Kunesh, M.S., LPC-IT
Reagan is likely the first person you will meet at Intentional Psychology. She manages client communication, scheduling, and some of the day-to-day operations. She has experience working in a variety of mental health settings and enjoys getting to be a part of each client's mental health journey. Reagan strives to create an affirming and empowering experience for every prospective and active client, believing that feeling heard and supported is one of the most important factors in the therapeutic process. She prioritizes consistent and open client communication to ensure a smooth intake experience for each client.
